Ashley

A little over a month ago, I took some photos of my girlfriend’s sister, Ashley. I thought most of them turned out well since they were taken at Golden Hour with some nice ambient lighting. I recently just moved back to Washington (Sequim specifically) from Southern California, and it’s such a beautiful area to take photos in – full of colorful greenery which makes for quite a nice backdrop.

From Fall to Winter

13 Dec 2011 / / Life & Photography

Life goes by very quickly. It seems as if I’ve gone through the toughest challenges and best life experiences in this past year alone; in a nutshell I moved away from home, my parents got divorced, I dealt with personal issues, got a girlfriend, and now I’m living in California with a salaried job in Social Media Marketing (something I’d never expected to have).

I wouldn’t ever go back and change any of those bad experiences though, because in the end they turned out better and were great learning experiences. I took this photo a few days ago showing how the leaves drop to the ground during Fall, and before you know it, it’s Winter. Just like my life – I can remember like it was yesterday when things were so much different, but with the blink of an eye you notice that it’s time to move on – to a different season. Even though the seasons change, you learn something new from each one and have a better outlook and perspective on life as the time passes. That’s why I also chose different perspectives for each of the three photos.

We’ll see what good things winter has to offer. I can already sense the Hot Cocoa and Movie time.

The Automotive scene is another huge and diverse part of the PNW. There is always something to do year-round, whether it’s building a car in the bitter winter months for the upcoming show season, cruising the damp back-roads during spring, or going to various car and drift events in the often warm summer. When dusk strikes, people are out exploring Seattle’s nightlife and hosting mini car meets at places like Dick’s Burgers. It’s really an experience you have to immerse yourself in.
