2016 Port Angeles Senior Portraits: Sydney

Late last year I had the opportunity to travel out to Port Angeles on the Olympic Peninsula to take some senior portraits of Sydney.

We went a little east of Port Angeles to Morse Creek, and took photos along the river, bridge and an older building - I think it's an older ranger station.

Anyways, below are a few photos from the set. As always, feel free to get in touch.

PNW Hikes: Heybrook Lookout

My girlfriend and I have decided to do at least one hike each weekend for the rest of 2015. We started a few weeks ago (I'll have blog posts up for those hikes soon), but this weekend we went up to Heybrook Lookout on the west end of Snoqualmie Pass.

The hike was only a little more than 2.5 miles round trip, but was made up of steep switchbacks right from the beginning.

Lots of cool foliage along the way, and the trail was very well maintained. Once at the top, we were greeted with the huge Heybrook Lookout tower that was once used to spot wildfires back in the old days.

Walking up the tower was super fun,

Sequim Senior Portraits: Serena

Earlier this month I took some Sequim senior portraits of my fiancé's sister, Serena, near Railroad Bridge Park on the Olympic Peninsula.

The lighting was perfect, since we shot right before sunset.

Check out a few photos from the set below, and feel free to [get in touch](mailto:zach@azntaiji.com?subject=Olympic Peninsula Senior Portraits)!

Sequim Summer Shoot: Brenna

Can't believe it's been almost a year since I last did a portrait shoot. I definitely have a lot of practice and catching up to do, it was tough getting into the groove (especially with my strobe setup)!

Anyways, we went out to Railroad Bridge Park in Sequim, and then later headed out to the Dungeness River for some golden hour/sunset shots.

It was an absolutely beautiful day, which made me realize that I really need to make the most of whatever nice weather we have left for the year. So with that said, check out this set and keep an eye on the blog for more shoots to come!

Ashley & Brooke: Best Friends During Autumn

Autumn is my favorite time of the year for portraits. The season evokes a sense of elegance, creating some great photo opportunities as colorful leaves cover the earth in vibrance.

Last weekend I was given a great opportunity to photograph best friends, Ashley & Brooke, during peak Autumn season at Railroad Bridge Park in Sequim.

Thankfully the weather was beautiful throughout the day. Unfortunately I didn't bring my strobist setup, so I had to make do with natural light for this set - but I'm still pretty happy with how most of the photos turned out!

"Best friends are meant to last forever."

"There is a harmony in Autumn, and a luster in its sky..."
